Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m the new teaching assistant at Colegio San Sebastián! My goal is to help the students grow and improve their English speaking abilities.
-I’m from California in the United States.
-I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and traveling!
-I have experience in the medical field and I aim to pursue a career in medicine.
I am so excited to work with all the children this school year and look forward to getting to know everyone better

Hola, mi nombre es Lauren y soy la nueva auxiliar de conversación del cole. Mi objetivo es ayudar a los estudiantes a mejorar sus habilidades comunicativas en Inglés.
Algunas cosas interesantes sobre mí:
- Soy de California, Estados Unidos.
- Me gusta pasar tiempo con mis amigos y familia, ir al a playa y viajar.
- Tengo experiencia en el campo médico y mi objetivo es estudiar medicina.
Estoy muy contenta de trabajar con niños y niñas este año y ayudarlos a ser mejores.

Hi, everyone! My name is Alannah Yamamoto, and I’m very excited to be the language assistant at CEIP San Sebastian! I just moved here from Baltimore, Maryland, USA where I was previously working as an environmental scientist. At the University of Maryland, College Park, I studied biology as well as plant science, ecology, and environmental science. I love the outdoors – hiking, kayaking, running, kickball, and anything I can do with my dogs, Chloe and Folly. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, art, and traveling. My family, my mom (Kathy) and my sister, Elizabeth (aka Liddy) are very important to me, and continue to cheer me on from across the pond in Maryland. This first week was a great start and I’m so happy and honored to have been placed in this amazing school with kids who are so excited to learn English and be a part of this cultural exchange program. I’m very excited to teach English, improve my Spanish, and learn about Spanish culture this school year! :)¡Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Alannah Yamamoto y estoy muy feliz e ilusionada de trabajar como auxiliar de conversación en el CEIP San Sebastián. Vengo de Baltimore, Maryland, EEUU., donde previamente he trabajado como científica dedicada al medio ambiente. En la Universidad de Maryland, College Park, estudié biología, especializándome en ecología y ciencias medioambientales. Me encantan las actividades al aire libre: montar a caballo, hacer kayak, correr y pasear con mis perros, Cloe y Folly. También me encanta cocinar, cuidar el jardín y viajar. Mi familia, mi madre (Kathy) y mi hermana Elizabeth son muy importantes para mí. Me encanta estar en familia. La primera semana en el colegio ha sido fantástica y me siento muy feliz y agradecida de haber llegado a este maravilloso centro, donde el alumnado está muy motivado por aprender mi idioma y feliz de ser parte de este programa intercultural. Estoy deseando empezar a enseñar inglés, mejorar mi español y aprender de vuestra cultura.
